What an incredibly exciting time to be a resident of Front Royal-Warren County. Our little town is experiencing some much awaited growth. New construction of shopping centers, restaurants, bridges, stadiums, and schools brings excitement to our town. If you haven't traveled 522 North or Exit 6 off I66 you will be amazed at all the new businesses & construction.

Crooked Run Shopping Center on the west side of 522 and the following businesses are or soon will be located at Phase 1 Target, BB & T Bank, McDonalds, TGIF, Wachovia, Panda Express, 7-Eleven w/gas, Famous Footwear, Fashion Bug, Hair Cuttery, GNC Live Well, Vocelli Pizza, Sally Beauty, Advance America, Ledo Pizza, GameStop, Dry Cleaner, Nails Spa, Verizon Wireless, Staples, and Petco.

Phase II already has contracts with Kohl's and other well known retailers. This second phase has unique contributions to Warren County including a youth sports complex with two girls softball fields, a midget football field, and concession stand. Riverton Commons (on the east side of 522) will feature Wal-Mart, Lowes, Cracker Barrel, Chic Fil-A, Checkers, Starbucks and others.

Blue Ridge Shadows championship golf course is now open with Holiday Inn & conference center nearing completion. Shenandoah at Lake Frederick a 55 + community built around Lake Frederick complete with Clubhouse Village, restaurants, social areas, a media center, activity rooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, and state-of-the-art exercise facilities.

We now have two high schools in Front Royal. A brand new state of the art Skyline High and Warren County High, a couple of years old, converted from the Warren County Junior High to become the 2nd high school. Our students this school year (2007-2008) said goodbye to some of their friends and now compete against one another in sports. We also have a newly renovated Bing Crosby Stadium, which is home to the Front Royal Cardinals as well as others.

For those of us who have lived in Front Royal all our lives, we are thrilled not to have to travel 20 miles to eat and shop. Keeping our money in our community helps everyone here in Front Royal-Warren County area and we couldn't be more thrilled.
